bri•co•lage (noun): the construction or creation from a diverse range of available things, or the process of doing so.

Exploring themes of nature, storytelling, and adaptive reuse, my collected ephemera and manipulated materials transform into naturalistic and nostalgic assemblages. My love of natural history informs my construction of sculptural vignettes, thus creating my own cabinet of curiosities. I employ preserved insects, taxonomical items, natural artifacts, and artificial objects to activate magical narratives, collecting, cataloging, and documentation of an organic bricolage’s dark silhouette. It is my hope that my works transcends the reclaimed objects to transfers the viewer into a world they have created for themselves.
